Does Noteway record without internet?

Yes. The recording saves on your phone in short pieces and uploads itself when the signal returns. No internet, limits or syncing ever stop a recording.

Can I record with the screen locked?

Yes. On iPhone you see the time and status on the lock screen and in the Dynamic Island, with “Important” and “Stop” buttons. On Android a persistent notification keeps recording alive.

How long can a recording be?

On the free plan one recording lasts up to 3 hours, on Plus up to 4 hours. Longer classes continue as part 2, linked to the first.

Can I upload a recording from a voice recorder?

Yes. In the “Add” sheet choose “Upload audio” and add a file from your voice recorder or computer.

Can notes contain mistakes?

Yes. The transcript, notes, flashcards and quiz are prepared by AI. That is why every fact shows its time, and a tap plays that moment of the recording.

The AI assistant answers from your recording and gives the minute where you will find the source. A more precise answer uses 3 questions from your limit.

Where are my recordings stored?

Your account, transcripts and notes are on Noteway’s server in Poland, and recordings in EU storage. For the transcript and notes, the recording goes to selected AI providers. Some providers (including AI, email and infrastructure) operate outside the EEA, mainly in the USA, under GDPR-compliant contracts. The full list is in the privacy policy.

Are recordings used to train AI?

No. We don’t train models on your recordings, and we choose providers whose terms say they don’t either.

Does Noteway identify people in a recording?

No. The transcript only distinguishes the “Lecturer” and “Audience” roles, with no identification of people and no voiceprints.

How do I download or delete my data?

In Settings, under “Your data”, you can download an archive with notes, transcripts, recordings and flashcards. You delete your account in two taps, including the data held by our providers.

Can I use Noteway on a computer?

Yes, in your browser. Log in to the same account and record online classes from your microphone or tab audio in Chrome and Edge.

Is Noteway for high school students?

Yes. The school version changes the words in the app: lesson, teacher, finals. Noteway is for people aged 13 and over, and aged 16 and over in countries with a higher digital age of consent, such as Poland.
