Delete your account
Delete your Noteway account and all materials yourself, in the app or in the browser. Can’t sign in? Write to us.
In the Noteway app
- Open Settings: the gear icon in the top right corner.
- Choose “Your data”.
- Tap “Delete account” and confirm.
In the browser
Sign in at noteway.app and the “Delete account” page in Settings opens. Before deleting we ask you to confirm your sign-in again.
Can’t sign in
Write from the e-mail address linked to the account. We check that the account is yours and delete it.
We reply within one month at the latest, as data protection law requires.
What we delete and when
- Recordings, transcripts, notes, flashcards, quizzes and chats.
- Account details, learning profile and signed-in devices.
- Copies held by service providers that processed your recordings and materials.
Deletion starts right after you confirm. When it is done, we send an e-mail.
Backups expire within 30 days.
We must keep some data longer, for example accounting records. The privacy policy explains this.
Deleting some of your data without deleting your account
Your account stays and you delete only what you choose. It works the same in the app and on noteway.app.
- A whole lecture with its recording and materials: open it. In the “More options” menu choose “Delete lecture”. Confirm.
- Notes only: in the lecture menu choose “Delete notes”. The recording and transcript stay.
- A single flashcard: in the flashcard menu choose “Delete flashcard”. It disappears from the list and from reviews.
- A photo, PDF file or material: open it in the Library. Choose “Delete photo”, “Delete file” or “Delete material”. Confirm.
Deleted items disappear from your account at once. They can’t be restored. We also remove the files from storage and copies held by service providers.
Backups expire within 30 days.
Store subscription
Cancel your App Store / Google Play subscription separately. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel it.
Unused extra hours are lost together with the account.
